Chapter 810

Trevor didn’t look at either Matthias or Celeste. He just handed his wine glass to a nearby waiter before going after Jordyn.

Seeing that Jordyn seemed upset, Celeste had initially wanted to follow her. But when she saw Trevor following after her, she paused and ultimately decided not to.

Matthias was also somewhat worried about Jordyn. He finally relaxed and turned to Philip after seeing Trevor following after her.

“Professor Lancaster, we’ll be going now.”

Philip nodded. “Alright. Let’s get together again when you have time.”

Celeste came back to herself, nodded, and left with Matthias.

Everyone at the banquet had assumed that Celeste and Trevor might continue tearing into each other. No one had expected them to simply leave without exchanging a single word.

Not just other guests, even Caleb, Kieran, Beck, and Miles were surprised.

After recovering from his shock, Kieran put down his wine glass and hurried after Celeste and Matthias. “Are you heading back to the company? I’ll come with you.”

Matthias and Celeste both nodded.

Kieran followed them. Thinking back on everything that had happened that evening, he ultimately said nothing more. After getting into Matthias’s car, he simply started talking with them about work.

Although Celeste and Trevor had left, the guests were still reluctant to leave after witnessing one bombshell after another that night.

Besides, the Lockets and Shaws were still there.

So, many guests turned their attention toward Wynn, Lilian, and the rest of the family.

Wynn naturally felt all those eyes on her. She forced a faint smile, still managing to maintain some semblance of composure while saying to Philip, “Professor Lancaster, we’ll be leaving now.”

Philip didn’t say anything. He just looked at her.

Although she was doing her best to maintain appearances, he could easily see through the embarrassment and forced composure beneath her facade.

So, he gave a faint nod.

After receiving his response, Wynn didn’t look at Narcissa or Quentin. She simply turned and walked away. Lilian and the rest of the family followed silently.

Many guests looked at them with contempt. As they passed by, someone spat out, “What a shameless homewrecker!”

“Exactly. The whole family is shameless. Disgusting!”

Wynn and her family kept their eyes straight ahead as they endured the insults, but her hand gripping the skirt was clenched so tightly that the vans popped out.

Watching all this, Jorge tightened his grip around his wineglass, his emotions tangled. But he did nothing. He merely withdrew his gaze and stopped looking at Wynn.

Xavier could tell that he was upset, so he said nothing either. Instead, he looked toward Caleb.

After Celeste left, Caleb had initially wanted to follow her. But knowing that she had business to attend for

He had come tonight for Celeste in the first place. Now that she had left…

He turned toward Xavier and Jorge. “Want to go for a drink?”

Jorge paused before looking at him. “Sure.”

Nearby, Beck and Miles were also feeling conflicted. They remained standing where they were, watching the direction in which Wynn and her family had disappeared.

Miles still hadn’t fully recovered from everything that had happened. “Beck?”

“Yeah?”

“Um, should we leave too?”

Beck nodded. “Yeah. Let’s say goodbye to Professor Lancaster first.”

“Okay.”

Miles paused, but in the end, he couldn’t resist asking, “By the way, the things between Celeste and the Locket family… Do you think Trevor knows about it?”
