His furious outburst stunned Cora into silence. She stood frozen for a moment, watching as he stepped into the elevator. Snapping back to reality, she lunged forward and blocked the closing doors with her foot.

Her impassioned speech chipped away at Lionel’s resolve. His mind was a chaotic mess, and he didn’t know what to do. On one hand, Hannah was waiting for him. On the other, Sandra was emotionally unstable and about to wake up.
