What kind of evidence could Lionel possibly have that was so powerful it could stop the divorce?
It sounded utterly unbelievable. Could it be that Lionel knew Quennel was meddling and was deliberately feeding him false information to mess with him?
No matter how she thought about it, it just didn’t seem possible.
Besides, she now knew Quennel wasn’t as simple as he seemed. It was entirely possible Quennel was the one trying to deceive her. Anything was possible at this point.
Hannah mulled it over, unsure whether she should agree to meet him or not.
But what if the evidence was real? That would be a huge problem for her. She had worked so hard, pulling strings and calling in favors just to get a court date. If he really had something that powerful, she needed to deal with it quickly.
After hesitating for five or six minutes, Hannah finally decided to meet with Quennel.
Although she now saw Quennel’s true colors, he didn’t know that she knew. It was best to go and see what he was up to.
If it turned out he was lying, then there would be no reason for them to have any further contact.
Hannah had planned to ask Cherry and Samuel to go with her, but as luck would have it, they both had last-minute things to take care of and couldn’t join her.

Hannah arrived at the place Quennel had suggested.
Quennel was already there waiting. He seemed surprised for a moment to see her arrive alone.
“Did your brother and sister not
come with
you today? The two of
them are usually inseparable from you. Why did they let you come alone?”
“Because I’m meeting with you, not Lionel. There’s no need to bring an entourage.”
Of course, she wasn’t going to tell him the real reason.
Quennel chuckled at her response and didn’t press the matter.
Whether they trusted her to meet him alone or intentionally stayed away, it was a good thing for him.
Today was the day. He needed to drug her drink, and the specialist needed over half an hour to do his work if her siblings got suspicious and started investigating, it would be disastrous.
So, them not being here today certainly saved him a lot of trouble.

“So, what is this evidence you mentioned? I really can’t imagine him having something so powerful. It’s completely unexpected.”
Whether this evidence even existed was still highly debatable.
How could there be such damning evidence, especially when his infidelity was already a proven fact? It seemed impossible.
