The crisp sound echoed through the courtyard. Lily, who had come out to greet him, jumped in shock and rushed over.
Lionel, stunned by her sudden action, tongued the inside of his cheek and slowly turned his gaze back to Hannah.
“I’ve figured out what happened with the USB drive, and I’ve already spoken to Sandra,” he said. “The first drive you gave me was corrupted, so I didn’t know the truth p>
“It was working fine when I gave it to you. You can figure out how it got corrupted yourself p>
From his words alone, Hannah instantly guessed it had to be Owen’s doing.
