With Hannah’s approval, Cherry immediately started a livestream.
“Hey, everyone! I’ve made a few posts recently that blew up online, and I can see you’re all a bit confused, so today I was planning to… huh?”
Cherry sat in the living room, acting as if she had no idea Lionel was coming, and started greeting her viewers.
But halfway through her sentence, Lionel appeared on screen, walking toward them.
“Strange, why is Lionel here?” she said, feigning confusion with a furrowed brow. After a few seconds of hesitation, she added, “Well, since he’s here, I’ll end the stream. I’ll share what happened today with you all later.”
Cherry reached out and “hurriedly” ended the stream, leaving her phone on a nearby surface before walking over to sit on the sofa.

【Didn’t she say she was ending the stream? Why is it still live?】
【Hahaha, I’m dying. Cherry must think she actually turned it off, but she didn’t and just left her phone there.】
[You think she did it on purpose?】
【No way. Cherry’s been an influencer for years, but she’s never done a livestream before, so it’s normal for her not to know how it works.
【Exactly. Why would she do it on purpose? What’s in it for her? If Lionel sues, she’s the one who’ll suffer the loss. There’s no benefit to her.】

Cherry sent a message to their
group chat, telling them the stream
was still on and that she was pretending she’d forgotten to turn it
off She told them to play along and not look at the phone.
[Samuel]: You’re truly one of a kind. The devious schemes you come up with are amazing.
[Cherry]: Of course. Just play your parts well. Whatever you do, don’t look at the camera. If you do,
viewers will notice and say you saw
it but deliberately kept quiet.
[Hannah]: Got it. Lionel’s almost here. Everyone just needs to play their part.
[Cherry]: OK, I’m ready.
[Samuel]: I don’t even know where the phone is, hahaha.
[Hannah]: Me neither. Which is good, I won’t be tempted to look for it. We’ll just act like we don’t know.
【Why are all three of them on their phones? Are they planning how to deal with Lionel?

Lionel walked into the hall with a grave expression. He had expected Hannah and the others to be waiting for him with serious faces, but instead they were alkengrossed in their phones.
It was as if his arrival meant nothing to them, as if they didn’t care.
That feeling of being ignored and dismissed was deeply unsettling.
