Lionel looked down at the letter in confusion when Hannah’s situation suddenly popped into his mind.

Hannah had received a letter just like this, which is why she went out to meet those people, leading to him following her and getting beaten and hospitalized.

This letter could be from the same group of people!

At that thought, Lionel didn’t hesitate and quickly tore open the envelope.

When he saw the contents, his eyes widened in disbelief, and his hands trembled.

The letter claimed that the people who said they had information about Hannah’s mother were frauds, hired by Quermel. His goal was to lure Hannah out so he could play the hero and win her favor.

But, it went on, Lionel’s interference had ruined Quennel’s plan.

His first reaction was suspicion. He thought the letter might be from that same group

of people, trying to stir up trouble between him, Quennel, and Hannah.

If he believed it, he would definitely tell Hannah, which would inevitably lead to another fight. She might even think he was just jealous of Quenne! and making things up.

But on second thought, Quennel was capable of kidnapping and torturing Sandra.

Fabricating a lie to trick Hannah and then swoop in to save her… it was entirely possible. The letter might actually be telling the truth.

But that raised another question. If the letter was true, what should he do?
