Chapter 808
Lionel blocked his path, his eyes narrowing slightly as they swept over him. “Quennel,” he began with a cold sneer.
“I think you’re just afraid of Hannah finding out, so you’re planning to get rid of him now to maintain your image as the perfect big brother.”
Quennel’s throat tightened. Seeing Lionel’s arrogant, supremely confident demeanor, he had a growing suspicion that something had gone terribly wrong.
“Lionel, don’t tell me you’ve already shown this video to Hannah?”
If that was the case, it wouldn’t be long before Hannah came to him demanding an explanation.
Then all Lionel would have to do is bring out Marcus Hale for a face-to-face confrontation, or even threaten Marcus into restoring Hannah’s memory. For Quennel, that would be a terrifying prospect.
His scheme to alter Hannah’s memories would be completely exposed. How would Hannah see him then?
Would she come to despise him completely?
Or would she treat him the same way she treated Lionel? Expose him online and let the public tear him apart?
As the possibility of these scenarios flooded his mind, a profound sense of unease began to take hold of Quennel.
Even his breathing was becoming heavy.
He tried his best to control his emotions, to not let his panic show.
But these subtle changes did not escape Lionel’s sharp eyes.
Seeing Quennel finally showing signs of panic, Lionel’s lips curled into a triumphant smirk.
“Quennel, I really never thought I’d see the day you’d look so terrified in front of me. I thought you were so formidable. Turns out you’re not all that special after all.”
At Lionel’s mockery, Quennel’s face darkened, and he clenched his jaw so tightly his teeth ached. A fierce anger flared in his eyes.
“Lionel, have you already told Hannah? Or have you taken Marcus Hale to her house?”
Quennel pressed him relentlessly.
He had to get this situation under control before Hannah found out, before her memory was restored.
He had calculated everything so carefully to get to this point. He couldn’t let it all fall apart because of Lionel!
Lionel heard his desperate questions, and an idea began to form.
He narrowed his eyes, a half-smile playing on his lips as he looked at Quennel.
“Where is Marcus Hale? Who
knows? If you think I sent him to Hannah’s, then go look for him there. If you think he’s still in my house. then you can search my house.”
Previously it had always been Quennel who maintained a calm and composed demeanor. Now, the
roles had reversed, and Lionel had taken his place.
As Quennel watched Lionel mimic his old behavior, he finally understood just how infuriating he must have been.
And he understood why Lionel resented him so much.
Because at this moment, he truly, deeply resented Lionel.
“Or maybe you think Marcus Hale is
at the hospital. You could go there
too. Of course, I think the best solution right now is for you to quickly dispatch three teams to check all three locations properly.”

Quennel’s expression grew grimmer, and he felt like he was about to grind his teeth to dust.
“Lionel, do you really want to be kicked out of the Rosenberg family for provoking me like this?”
At this, Lionel raised an eyebrow. “Whether or not I get kicked out of the Rosenberg family is a decision for the elders to make, not you.”
