The moment she answered, his deep, angry voice came through the line.

Tess, sitting close by, had heard every word. She knew Hannah’s marriage was unhappy, but she hadn’t realized it was this bad.

The change in leadership had
happened around the same time Lionel returned to the Rosenberg family. She had heard about it, but her focus had been on Lionel. All she knew was that wes was a brilliant. businessman who had effortlessly ousted his cousin.
