Lionel stammered, unable to utter a single word, and could only glare back at him, gritting his teeth.

it because of you, I’d like to see how you’ll explain that to Hannah p>

With that, Quennel stormed out of the room in a fury.

Lionel sat there alone, a belated sense of dread washing over him.

If what Quennel said was true, then he had truly messed up.

But… how could anyone know if it was real or not!

Lionel wanted to say more, but Quennel was already gone.

The footage showed Hannah visiting Lionel earlier that day.

The moment Lionel was admitted to the hospital after the attack, Quennel had arranged for people to keep an eye on hm, worried that Lionel would use his injuries to win back Hannah’s sympathy.

He had given them orders to notify him immediately if there was any sign of that happening.

He had to nip that possibility in the bud.
