Lionel was stunned into silence by Cheryl Temple’s words.

With her phone on speaker, Cherry bit her lip and glanced at Hannah and Samuel, trying her best to suppress a laugh.

After hearing the conversation, Hannah and Samuel were also struggling to keep straight faces.

Cherry was a verbal assassin, capable of destroying someone with just a few sentences.

She was truly something else.

Lionel’s composure was already shattered, but Cherry’s last remark was the final blow.

“Cherry, what did you just say? You’re lying to me, aren’t you?”

He gripped the car’s armrest so tightly his fingertips nearly dug into the material, utterly refusing to believe what he had just heard.

“Cherry, this isn’t funny. I don’t have time for your jokes right now.”

“Why would I be joking with you? I…” Cherry broke off with a long sigh, feigning a helpless tone.

“It’s true. It’s already trending online. Besides, this whole thing is your fault. I was about to start my stream when you suddenly showed up. None of this would have happened if you hadn’t come over!”

In that moment, Cherry masterfully shifted all the blame onto him.

“Who told you to stream in the first place? What were you even thinking? You’re already at the center of a media stamp, and you decide to de live? Are you trying to destroy the Rosenberg family? Is that what you want?”

Lionel completely lost it, his voice escalating into a hysterical roar.

Cherry was thankful she had put the phone on her desk on speaker.

That way, his deafening shouts wouldn’t damage her ears.

“What I do in my own home is none of your business! And what I say on my own stream has nothing to do with you! Do I need to report my every move to you?”

“This is clearly your problem! You had nothing better to do than show up here uninvited! And if you had just been a little nicer, maybe the viewers would have even taken your side!”

If Lionel could scream hysterically, so could she and she could do it louder.

“Lionel, you deserve every bit of hate you’re getting online! You’re lucky someone hasn’t stabbed you on the street by now, you bastard! I called you out of the goodness of my heart to give you a heads-up, and you dare yelfat me? Fuck you!”

Cherry was never one for being gentle or polite, and after being yelled at by Lionel, her true nature came roaring out.

“I’m not working with you anymore! Thank God I went live today and let everyone see what a piece of work you really are. Hahaha, you had it coming, Lionel! You had it coming!”

“You managed to clear your name with your family elders today thanks to Hannah, but now you’re being crucified by the public. Hahaha, this must be your destiny! Go die, you psychopath you goddamn idiot!

After her tirade, Cherry hung up and blocked his number.

That long, uninterrupted rant was more satisfying than she could have imagined. She let out a deep, contented breath.

When she looked up, she saw Hannah and Samuel giving her a thumbs-up.

“I’m so jealous. I wish I could yell at Lionel like that. I just never get the chance.”
