Sandra’s body tensed. “Did Lionel say something?” she asked, her grip tightening on her phone. He hadn’t mentioned it when they met the other day, and she had hoped the matter was forgotten.
“I’m so sorry, Ms. Woods, but I made a mistake. Mr. Rosenberg wasn’t clear at the time, and I assumed the necklace was for you. I only found out today that it was… it was meant for Hannah p>
After he said the words, Owen let out a long, silent breath and stopped at a red light, waiting for her response.
Sandra was stunned for a few seconds. Her lips trembled, and tears welled up in her eyes.

Sandra managed to keep her voice steady as she offered a few more words of comfort before hanging up.
