As Lionel pulled up to the Woods’ residence, he saw a black sedan pulling away from the house. It was too dark and too far away for him to see who was inside.

“Where is Sandra?” he cut in, his voice cold as ice.
His tone, combined with the thunderous expression on his face, sent a jolt of alarm through Mrs. Woods. She knew at once that Sandra must have done something terrible.
“Where is she?” he repeated, his voice dropping to a dangerous low.
Mrs. Woods quickly pointed upstairs. “In… in her room p>
Lionel said nothing more and stormed up the stairs. The door to Sandra’s room was ajar, and he could hear her talking on the phone. As he approached, he saw her smiling, her face full of glee. He knocked sharply on the doorframe, startling her.
She looked up and froze, her eyes wide with shock. “I’ll call you back,” she stammered into the phone, quickly ending the call and wheeling her chair toward him.
“Lionel,” she said, blinking with feigned innocence. “What are you doing here p>
“The video at the Temple family party,” he said, his voice tight with suppressed fury. “That was your doing, wasn’t it p>
Sandra didn’t answer right away. She bit her lip, her gaze darting away nervously. After a few seconds of silence, she finally spoke. “What video? I don’t know what you’re talking about. Was there some kind of event at the Temple estate p>
“Hannah is Cheryl Temple’s
daughter. Tonight was her official
welcome party. Someone played a video of Jason abusing Hannah at the orphanage when she w was a child. Mr. Temple was so homified that he immediately sent his men to find Jason. Mrs. Temple was so heartbroken that she gave Hannah a massive portfolio of stocks and properties as compensation p>
The part about the compensation was a lie, but judging by the scene he’d witnessed, he had no doubt that Mrs. Temple would shower Hannah with gifts to make up for her suffering.

Now that they know everything they’re just relieved and heartbroken for her. I came here because I thought it was you, but since you had nothing to do with it, I’ll leave you be p>
Sandra’s brow furrowed, her hands gripping the arms of her wheelchair. This wasn’t right. This wasn’t howat was supposed to go. She had given her contact Jason’s videos of the attempted rape. Even though the assault had failed, playing the footage in front everyone should
have destroyed Hannah’s reputation. The Temple family should have been disgusted with her, ashamed to be associated with a tainted, common slut.
