Hearing the urgency in his mother’s voice, Quennel felt a growing sense of unease. He hung up and immediately checked his phone.

He clicked on a random one and saw screenshots of Cherry’s conversations with her friends being reposted everywhere. As he read the text, Quennel’s face darkened.

His plan was to have these people probe Cherry, to see if she knew about the meeting.
