Chapter 812
Before Hannah could even speak, Cherry burst out laughing.
“I used to think Lionel was the only idiot in your family who was so pushy, but I guess you’re one too.”
Cherry propped her arm on the sofa, resting her chin in her hand and looking at him with a smirk, her eyes full of contempt.
“Quennel, Marcus Hale is a master hypnotist. Why would you introduce him to my sister? Are you planning to take the opportunity to alter her memories?”
They had already seen that Quennel was not a good person, and Hannah had just told them he had tampered with her memory.
If he hadn’t arrived so early, they might have learned how Hannah avoided being hypnotized.
But it confirmed that Quennel was a malicious and devious person, so she had every right to give him a hard time now.
After all, when you got down to it, he was cut from the same cloth as Lionel.
The Rosenberg family was truly beyond saving, rotten from top to bottom with the same venomous intentions.
Samuel fully approved of Cherry’s approach.
If they hadn’t seen Quennel’s true colors early on, Hannah would have gone from being deceived by Lionel straight into Quennel’s trap.
And she would have been deceived for years.
Crucially, Quennel’s methods and cunning were so profound that none of them were his match.
So, seeing Cherry relentlessly cornering Quennel now was extremely satisfying for Samuel.
“Mr. Rosenberg, Hannah’s well-being is our family’s top priority. Your insistence on speaking with her privately seems rather inappropriate, don’t you think?”
Samuel added, “Even though you’ve helped Hannah in the past, the divorce proceedings are about to begin. hope you Rosenbergs will refrain from disturbing my sister, to avoid any negative impact on the outcome.”
Quennel was completely taken aback. Samuel, who had always seemed to respect Hannah’s decisions and follow her lead, had spoken up before she even had a chance to reply.
This immediately put him on high alert, a faint sense that something was wrong.
Quennel weighed his options silently before speaking. “I just want to ask about some private matters. I’m her brother, after all. Would I really harm her Hannah lets go upstairs to talk. Let’s not waste any more time.”
“Hannah!”
Cherry protested with a disgruntled look.
Even Samuel, sitting beside her, showed his disapproval.
Hannah looked at her younger siblings’ expressions and pretended to be conflicted for a long moment before finally speaking slowly, “Alright, alright Quennel was always very good to me back at the Rosenberg estate. If he really
wanted to harm me like Lionel, he
would have done it long ago. Why
wait until now? You two can relax, don’t overthink it.”
Hannah stood up and started walking toward her study.
“Come on, Quennel. Let’s go upstairs.”
Seeing this, Cherry panicked and stood up to protest, but Samuel held her back.
“Let it go. Hannah has made her decision, and it wouldn’t be right for us to keep stopping her. Besides, this is the Temple estate. If anything were to really happen, we’re right here. There’s nothing to fear.”
Samuel’s words seemed to be calming Cherry, but they were actually a warning to Quennel.
