Jennifer stapped her . “ I’m good now . Why don’t you have dinner with me before you go
Teresa refused , “ No need . Evelyn asked me to bring you this bank card . Otherwise , I wouldn’t have come in person . She said the password is your birthday
Jennifer owned . “ Take half the money . There’s 300 thousand dollars on the card . Let’s split it . ”
Teresa sneered . “ No Thanks , I’m not interested in your money ”
Jennifer said , “ You don’t have to act all high and mighty in front of me I know your company only makes a few million a year , and after expens barely get 300 thousand dollars . Don’t pretend money means nothing to you

Teresa got home to find Michael asleep at the table , his head resting on his arms . Spread out in front of him was a drawing – Jonathan in a suit , just like in their family photo
Teresa stared at Michael’s nose , so much like Jonathan’s . That night , she couldn’t sleep . She stepped out onto the balcony for some air , only to catch a glimpse of a familiar Maybach driving away .
She was surprised , not knowing when he’d come by again , or why he left without telling her . On impulse , she ran downstairs , but the Maybach was already gone . Teresa let out a sigh . “ Why am I chasing after him like a fool ?
The next day was the day Jonathan was leaving Nardigh . Teresa barely slept that night .
Early that morning , she saw a message from him . y flight’s today . I might come back for Donald and Jennifer’s wedding , or maybe not . Otherwise , won’t be back . )

Jonathan sent Teresa his flight detalls .
Teresa went to the airport , Joristisan didn’t bring too much luggage . Teresa asked where he was headed . “ Archule ” he answered , “ Pater’s over there figured I’d talk some things with him ”

“ Huh ? ” Teresa looked up at him , curious .
Jonathan let out a soft laugh . “ When my mom gets married , and you do too . Maybe then I’ll get marned . ” He smiled when he was speaking , but Teresa could tell he wasn’t joking
The boarding announcement came over the speakers . Teresa urged , “ Your flight’s about to leave . ”
“ Yeah , ” Jonathan had already chocked his baggage , so now he’s taking nothing . He put his hands in his pockets , and searched for something . After a few steps , he turned back , pulled out a jewelry box , and opened it .
The ring inside sparkled . Jonathan looked straight at Teresa . “ You threw our wedding ring into the river . I always said you were impossible . Back then , I couldn’t afford anything better . Now , take this . We’re really even now . ”
Tears welled up in Teresa’s eyes , and she felt choked . He’d probably never known she’d taken that ring out of the river . This is Human – act on impulse , make mistakes , and then regret them
A tear fell onto her shoe and quickly evaporated . She shook her head , regaining her composure . “ You’re about to leave . Why are you giving me a ring ?!
