“Mike wants to use Felix as his little brother’s name,” Teresa said.

Jonathan looked confused.

Teresa explained, “Because Felix is a cat loved by many people.”

Teresa said, “Haven’t you ever watched the cartoon Felix the Cat? The main character is a cat named Felix. He is good–hearted and willing to help others and uses his cleverness to solve problems. Don’t you know that? Even I do.”

Jonathan was at a loss for words. He said, “As long as Mike likes it. That’s all that matters.”

He sprawled out on the sofa, with one hand over his forehead and one leg bent. He closed his eyes, trying to catch a break.

Teresa sat beside him, gazed at his face, and asked, “What about the baby’s last name?”

Jonathan kept his hand on his forehead and said in a hoarse voice, “Grandpa wanted the baby to be surnamed Lynn, but I told him that he should have your last name.”

Teresa thought to herself, ‘No wonder Hayden came to ask if the baby could have the last name Lynn. It turns out that Jonathan told him that the baby would take my last name.‘

Her heart felt adrift. Teresa gazed at the exhausted man beside her, and fragments of old memories surfaced.

Once, she had said she wanted to have a boy

and a girl, one named Muffin and the other Cupcake. However, that was all in the past.

Teresa snapped back to reality, and her mind made up. She said, “Let’s go with Hayden’s choice.”

Jonathan said, “We can call him Felix Johnston.”

Jonathan never expected the baby to take his last name. He didn’t want it and wouldn’t ask for it, and he thought it just wouldn’t be fair. In his mind, his second child’s name was set as Felix Johnston.

Early the next morning, Teresa woke up. Today, she and Michael were leaving Nareigh for Jarisburg to focus on her pregnancy.

Jonathan’s phone had been ringing since five o’clock in the morning, all about work problems. He endured great pressure from the board.

Teresa had asked Benny about it, and Benny replied, “Jonathan is under fire from all directions. Don’t worry. He has seen it all. Nothing can shake him

now.”

Teresa waited until Jonathan finished his call before saying, “You can focus on your work. Mike and I will head to the airport on our own later.”

“No, I’ll send you there. I won’t feel at ease until I see you both board the plane,” Jonathan replied.

Jonathan put everything on hold. He was going to personally see Teresa and Michael off.

Teresa knew Jonathan couldn’t leave Nareigh because he was still under surveillance, and any departure had to be reported.

Jonathan’s phone rang again. He said to Teresa, “I’ll be right back.”

From the floor–to–ceiling window, Teresa saw him heading toward Eason’s place.

Before long, Jonathan returned, but he didn’t tell Teresa what he and Eason had talked about.

Just like always, he went to wake up Michael, picked him up, washed his face for him, and then carried the little guy over to the dining table.

He planned to dismiss a few of the nannies and only keep two of them to take care of the villa’s cleaning.

After breakfast, Teresa said, “Mike, let’s go.” She and Michael got into the car then.

As they neared the airport, Miriam called Teresa and said, “Have you already left? Where can I find you? A nanny said you left long ago. Wasn’t your flight at nine–thirty?”

“It was changed to eight–thirty. Miriam, you don’t need to come see me off. I’m already at the airport,” Teresa replied.
