“I told you, I’m not marrying anyone else. You never think about how your words will affect others.”
Teresa pulled away from him, forcing herself to stay calm.
“Go be the son your family wants. A marriage without their blessing won’t work. Ours proved that. So why can’t I wish you well and hope you find someone who fits you?”
“If two people truly love each other, how could their families not give them their blessing? Who was the one who first brought up divorce? Think about what you said to me back then.”
“But have you ever thought that maybe what you see as the result is the cause? Maybe we didn’t dare to love each other because we never had our family’s blessing.”
‘Not dare to love?‘ Jonathan thought, his heart trembling. He suddenly tightened his grip on Teresa’s arm.
“So, are you saying you love me?” Jonathan asked.
Teresa impatiently shook off his hand. “I don’t love you. You should’ve listened to your mom and married Yvonne back then. Then we wouldn’t be stuck in all this drama.”
Jonathan stayed silent. Teresa had called a cab and was ready to leave, but he stepped in her way, eyes filled with quiet stubbornness, refusing to let her

“Why is it always you who says the harshest words, but I’m the one left hurting? What did I ever do to deserve you torturing me like this?”
She was driving him insane. If he ever truly lost his mind one day, it would be because of her, because she could twist his heart any way she wanted without the slightest concern.
“Then just stay away from me, and we can stop torturing each other,” Teresa said.
She turned and got into the taxi, tears streaming down her face. Jonathan stood there, his fists clenched tightly.
At the bar, Jonathan kept knocking back drinks one after another. He leaned back in his chair, his tall figure looking a little lost, and the table in front of him was already covered in empty glasses.
“Mr. Lynn,” a subordinate said as he walked over. “Here’s the latest report on Teresouth Group, just like you asked.”
Jonathan flipped through the file, but the moment he spotted the name “Yalena Kelly” from the Kelly family, he smashed his glass with a sharp crack.
By the time he returned to the office, it was already afternoon. Jonathan immediately held a press conference, stating he had only met Yalena from the Kelly family a few times and that they were not even friends, let alone engaged.

“Mr. Lynn,” Yalena said, feigning innocence, “I don’t get it. Why are you targeting my company?”
Jonathan looked up, his eyes turning cold. He wasn’t buying her act. “Ms. Kelly, if you dare to go after my people, why shouldn’t I go after you?”
Yalena gritted her teeth, surprised that Jonathan had caught on.
“You mean Teresa? But didn’t you two already get divorced?” Yalena pressed.
Jonathan said firmly, “She’s still mine, I won’t let anyone bully her.”
