“ Jonathan . ” Werner chimed in . “ The whole family knows that you’re going to be a dad . This is great news ! This is the Lynn family’s first grandson
“ heard Donald and Cheryl faked the report to keep you from finding out . Don’t worry , I’ll give them a piece of my mind . I will stand up for you
Jonathan rubbed his temples . “ I’m out of town right now . I can’t make it back . ”
Hayden snorted , “ You’re always so busy , running around every day . I swear , you can’t even tell what’s important anymore . But I don’t care . I want to see my adorable great – grandson right this instant . ”
“ Grandpa , it’s really not possible today . I’ll bring Mike back when I get the ance , but there’s no way I’m letting him go alone . He’s just a kid . Without me and Teresa there , he’ll be scared . Please don’t frighten him , ” Jonathan said .
Hayden went quiet for a couple of seconds , and then suddenly sounded a lot more pleased with Jonathan . He chuckled on the phone . “ I knew it . Teresa’s the one who had your kid , right ?
“ Your mom tried to hide it from me , saying she didn’t know who the mother was . Come on , who else would put up with you enough to have your child except for Teresa ? ”
Jonathan looked at Teresa , still unconscious in bed . He had to admit to himself , ‘ Yeah , who else but her ? ‘
“ Tomorrow , you bring Teresa and Mike back home together . Teresa gave our family its first grandson , and you’re still not remarried to her ? What , you want them out there suffering all alone ? ” Hayden demanded .
“ How could I ever let them suffer ? ” Jonathan pinched the bridge of his nose . He knew exactly what he needed to do , so he didn’t say anything more and hung up the phone .
Then he called Gary, kept it brief , and told him the family already knew about Michael .
“ How did they find out so fast ? Was it you , bro ? ” Gary asked , surprised . He thought Jonathan would wait a few days before telling the family .
“ Wasn’t me . Anyway , the whole family is in the loop now . It’s a good thing . I get nothing to hide ,” Jonathan replied .
Jonathan asked Gary to look after Michael for now and not bring him back to the Lynn residence yet . There were too many people there , and Michael was
still so young .
“ Don’t worry , bro . I know what you mean . Mike’s still little . Without you by his side , he’d definitely be scared , ” Gary said .
“ Yeah , ” Jonathan replied . “ I’m busy here . I’ll hang up now . ”
Gary agreed , “ Alright . ”
Jonathan sat by the bed , still gazing at Teresa .
He already had a son , and honestly , that was enough for him . At least , he wouldn’t be left without a child .
But now , realizing she was pregnant with his child again , he flashed a small smile . ‘ Who would’ve thought I’d end up with two kids by the time I hit thirty- one ? ‘ he mused to himself .
Teresa’s eyelashes fluttered as she slowly opened her eyes , and the first thing she saw was Jonathan’s gentle smile . For a split second , she thou must be dreaming .
She realized Jonathan was holding her hand , his touch making her palm feel hot , and she quickly pulled her hand back from his grasp .
“ You’re awake . How are you feeling ? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere ? ” Jonathan asked , reaching out to touch her face , but Teresa turned away , avoiding his hand .

Jonathan withdrew his hand , forcing himself to be patient . “ I bought you some food . Try to have some for now ,
Teresa snapped back to reality , her voice flat . “ I don’t need you fussing over me . ” She remembered every word Irene had said before she passed o right now , she wanted nothing to do with him .
“ I’m not hungry , ” she said , turning over and giving him her back , her posture cold and distant .
Jonathan raised an eyebrow . “ How can you not be hungry after not eating all day ? The baby in your belly must be starving by now ?
Teresa’s whole body went rigid . ‘ He knows , ‘ she thought .
