Meanwhile , Sanford woke up with a pounding headache . Blinking his bleary eyes , he looked around and realized he was in a hotel room .
Sanford thought to himself , ‘ All I remember is going out for drinks last night , and I think I might’ve seen Donald’s father at some point . But after that , everything’s just a blur

Just as Sanford finished freshening up and was about to head out , a knock came at the door . He opened the door , only to find Teresa standing there
Teresa entered , carrying a takeout meal , and placed it before him , with her face expressionless . She said , “ I brought you some local flareigh specialties . Not sure if they’ll suit your taste .”
Sanford was a little confused , waiting for Teresa to explain . He asked groggily , “ How did you find me here ? Wait … Was it you who brought me back last night ? ”
Teresa denied it , but that left Sanford genuinely puzzled . Teresa said coolly , “ Check your phone yourself . ”
Sanford checked his phone and , to his astonishment , found that he had made several calls , all to Teresa .
Teresa said coolly , “ You called me in the dead of night , but kept calling out Jennifer’s name . I figured you meant to call her instead of me . ”
Sanford hesitated , then admitted honestly , “ I was drunk last night . I had this dream . I was back in college , and I remember seeing Jennifer and wanting to have dinner with her . I guess that’s why I accidentally called you . ”
Teresa scoffed , “ You ‘ accidentally ‘ called that many times ? Don’t tell me you’re still hung up on Jennifer .”
“ I got over her a long time ago . ” Sanford poured himself a glass of water and gulped down a few glasses to soothe his parched throat . He sighed . “ Jennifer and Donald are really in love . And besides … ”
“ Besides what ? ” Teresa pressed .
Sanford hesitated , finally admitting , “ Jennifer … She’s pregnant . ”
Teresa scoffed , “ Well . That’s old news , isn’t it ? ”
Sanford had thought Teresa didn’t know about this . He said gently , “ You know , Jennifer still cares for you as her sister . Otherwise , she wouldn’t have shared such personal matters with you . ”
Teresa scoffed , “ She once wanted me to go with her for an abortion , but by some twist of fate , I left , and she couldn’t go through with it alone . Later , she mentioned wanting an abortion again , but it never worked out ,”
Sanford frowned in confusion . “ Why would she want an abortion ? Isn’t this good news ? ”
Teresa turned around and said , “ She’s afraid it’ll affect her career , and besides , she’s never been fond of children .
“ Now I’m actually worried that once the baby is born , she might not even love her own child . Oh well , it’s not my place to worry about this . Otherwise , I’d end up being as nosy as she is . ”
Sanford fell silent . Now that he had sobered up , he realized Teresa still hadn’t told Jonathan about Mike .
“ Jennifer is your sister , after all . Just give her a few days to prepare . Since you’ve already decided to come clean about Mike , a few more days won’t make a difference . Let Jennifer handle things with Donald first .”
Teresa remained silent . Sanford gazed at her back and said , “ I know I’m in no words to heart . ”
