He didn’t say a word . He just looked at Sanford , his expression hard to read . Sanford , on the other hand , clearly just wanted answers Jonathan found himself watching it all like an outsider . From where he stood , it suddenly struck him . Werner and Sanford actually looked a lex alike
Teresa had mentioned it more than once . She said Werner and Sanford had similar features . Jonathan never gave it much thought until this moment
By the time he snapped out of it , Werner was already gone . Sanford had let him go . He turned to Jonathan and asked if he still wanted to watch the rest of the surveillance footage .
Jonathan raised an eyebrow slightly . His face looked tense and a little clouded . Then a loud ringtone cut the nurse watching over Liora . She said Liora was in bad shape .

His mind went blank . He didn’t hesitate . He ran straight to the hospital room , stumbling a few times on the way there .
He didn’t expect to find Werner already standing by Liora’s bed . He rushed in , shoved Werner out of the way , and told him to get lost .
He held Liora’s hand tightly . “ Mom , do not leave me . You’ll be OK . ”
Liora’s voice was faint . She managed to whisper a few words . “ Do not run around like that . ”
“ Sorry . I just wanted to find out the truth . I didn’t want to be left all alone after you were gone , still clueless like a fool . I was scared you’d get hurt , and was afraid I couldn’t bear that pain for you , ” said Sanford .
Tears blurred his eyes and started falling . Liora’s eyes filled with tears too . She moved her lips , like she was about to say something .
Footsteps echoed in the hallway . The door swung open . Cathy walked in . She came to find Werner . And there he was , just like she had guessed . She lost it and asked him , “ Is Liora the one calling you ? Have you been sending her money ? ”
She demanded , “ What kind of relationship do you have with this woman ? Why do you keep showing up here ? ”
Werner snapped . “ Stop with the drama . ” He asked , “ What kind of relationship do you think I could have with someone lying in a hospital bed ? ”
But Cathy wasn’t done . She kept pressing , “ Why did Liora call you ? Why are you coming to see her ? ”
She had thought it all through on the way over . If Werner had been coming to Shaville just to see Liora , then it all fit .
The money transfers she saw on his phone , the hospital payments – it all made sense now . The woman who came between them , the so – called mistress ,
was Liora .
She didn’t want to believe it . But she couldn’t think of anyone else that close to Werner . It had to be her .
Werner tried to drag Cathy out . But she wouldn’t leave this time . She didn’t care that Liora was sick . She lost all control and rushed to her bedside and screamed , “ Why did you ruin my marriage ?
“ Why did Werner give you so much money ? Why did you have to be the mistress ? ”
Sanford exploded . He shouted , “ My mom is not a mistress ! ” He pushed Cathy aside . She stumbled , barely staying on her feet , and broke into tears .
Her crying only made Sanford more on edge . But what really got to him was that Liora still wasn’t saying anything .
He looked at her , begging for an explanation . “ Mom , say something , anything , to prove you’re not a mistress . ” He asked , “ Is it true that Werner gave you money out of pity ?
“ Or maybe Werner has a secret and you know it . Maybe you used that to get money from him . Is that it ? Have I figured it out ? ”
Liora stayed completely silent . This time , Sanford was the one breaking down . He grabbed her shoulders , almost shaking . “ Mom , please . Say something-
