Jonathan walked over to Teresa and handed her the card . “ Forget something ? ” he asked
Teresa felt relieved . She hadn’t noticed when the ID card had dropped to the floor .
“ Mr. Link ” Michael popped his head out of the rear window , waving enthusiastically at Jonathan . “ Are you gonna give us a ride home ?
Teresa said quickly . “ No , he’s ”
But before Teresa could finish her sentence , her keys were taken from her , and Jonathan got straight into the driver’s seat . Teresa was speechless
“ Awesome . You could stay a little longer with me . ” Michael , sitting in the back seat , was so happy he could barely stay still .
“ Seatbelt , ” Jonathan reminded Teresa in the passenger seat .
Teresa snapped back to reality and fastened her seatbelt . “ Shouldn’t you be with your fiancée right now ? ” asked Teresa

Teresa was left speechless . She thought , ‘ Fine . Why did I ask ? I’m just asking for trouble ,
Neither of them was willing to yield first . Unsmiling , they stared at each other until Jonathan broke the stalemate . “ Where are you going ?”
“ Rosary Estates , ” Michael said sweetly .
“ What ? ” A horn had just drowned out what Michael said . Jonathan turned his head slightly , and Teresa said , “ Go to Minam’s apartment . I’m dropping him off at her cousin’s
“ Didn’t Miriam go to Gorthany ? Is she back already ? ” asked Jonathan .
“ Wait , how’d you know that ? ” said Teresa in disbelief .
“ Edward told me , ” said Jonathan calmly .
Teresa didn’t press further . She didn’t know that on that evening , when she’d broken down crying over the steering wheel on her way home , Jonathan had silently followed her the entire way
Teresa said , “ Miriam did go to Gorthany , but she gave me her keys so I could water the plants for her ”
Jonathan couldn’t help but look at Teresa one more time .
Teresa was instantly on the alert . She thought , “ Why is he staring at me like that ?”
Just then , Jonathan drawled , “ Don’t drown the flowers . ”
Teresa shot back , “ Relax , the flowers are as tough astam .”
Jonathan was left speechless . He thought , “ What can I say ? I can’t say anything bad about her !
When they arrived at Miriam’s apartment , Telesa grabbed the car keys and got out . Michael followed , reluctantly saying goodbye to jonathan ,
Michael waved at Jonathan and called out cheerfully , “ Bye – bye , Mr. Lime . ”

Jonathan’s whole attention centered on Teresa . He waved back at Michael in a careless way , his ayes glued to Teress , who remained cool and shoot
Jonathan thought , ‘ Gort , I just want to fuck her in the bed and make her beg
“ Irene , who was that little boy with Mr. Lynn’s ex- wife ? ” asked Yalena innocently as she was having coffee with Irene .
trene smiled reassuringly . “ Don’t worry , Talena . I know what you’re wonded about . That boy is not Jonathan’s son if he were , I’d never let him away ”
“ Then , if he’s not Mr. Lynn’s son , who is he ? ” continued Yalena .
“ I don’t know whose child he is , ” Irene said nonchalantly , taking a sip of her coffee . “ Just a little boy who happens to look like Jonathan , that’s at . There’s just so much we don’t know yet , isn’t there ? ”
“ You’re right . ” Vallena sipped her coffee , her eyes glinting with suspicion . She thought , I don’t believe a word of it . The moment I walked in , Jonathan held that kid , looking so gentle . There’s no way that child has anything to do with him .

Irene gently patted Yalena’s hand and said , “ Yalena , are you upset because Jonathan went after Teresa today ? Don’t read too much into it , dear . He’s just being a gentleman . He treated everyone equally . ”
Yalena sneered inwardly . “ Why has Jonathan never treated me like that ?
“ I’ve come to the hospital to visit his grandfather so many times , but Jonathan has never given me a second look , let alone offered me a ride home . ”
Snapping back to herself , Valena forced a smile and said , “ I see , Irene . By the way , do you know where Teresa lives ? I want to tell her how much I love Mr. Lynn , and hopefully , she’ll bless us . ”
Irene sighed . “ You’d better not go looking for her . She’s no pushover , and she may hurt you .
“ She acts all high and mighty because she has money , but let’s be real , Teresouth Group could get to where it is today because of my son . Who does she think she is ??
“ I see . ” Yalena echoed Irene’s words , though inwardly she sneered , ‘ Damn old hag , you didn’t tell me about it ,
‘ Fine , I’ll find out on my own .
‘ One way or another , I’ll become Mrs. Lyni .
Even if I end up divorcing Jonathan , walking away with half his fortune would make it all worth it !
Meanwhile , Jennifer couldn’t stand Donald’s silent treatment any longer . Too distracted to work , she made her way to Donald’spartment . With colleagues present , Donald couldn’t say much , so he led Jennifer into his office .
Once the door closed , Jennifer couldn’t help but throw her arms around Donald . “ Please , you have to believe me . There’s nothing between me and Gary I’ve already cut him off completely ”

Jennifer’s hands trembled , and her fingernails dug into Donald’s arm . “ Donald , please believe me . Are you really going to cut me off five just because you
think I was involved with Gary ? I’m innocent . I’ve always been true to you . ”

Donald let out a weary breath and said , “ Are you really not lying to me and hiding anything from me ? ”
Jennifer shot back without hesitation , “ I’m not . What can I do to make you believe me ? ”
Donald softly rubbed her check , and Jennifer couldn’t hold back the tears welling up in her eyes
“ Have you forgotten what you said at our wedding ? You said you would cherish and protect me . You can’t treat me like this . You can’t abandon me sobbed Jennifer .
Donald pulled Jennifer into his arms . “ I’m sorry , honey . I just . Forget it . I believe you . Let everything go ”
Jennifer clung to Donald and said in a trembling voice , “ Please don’t leave me You’re all I have . Without you , I’d have nothing left
Donald nodded in agreement , but Jennifer grew more and more tense .
“ Mommy , what are you looking at ? ” Michael said curiously ..
In a restaurant , Teresa dragged her gaze away and said , “ Nothing . ”
She had frequent delusions that someone was following her
This restaurant should have been safe . By all accounts , it seemed impossible that someone was following her
If Michael hadn’t been clamoring to eat outside , Teresa wouldn’t have brought him to the restaurant at such times .
