Jerome tried hard to hold back his laughter. It was amusing how Edwin used “honestly” to push his point.

Carole, raised in the country, was familiar with Ellie’s reputation. She had always viewed Ellie’s title as a top socialite with a hint of disdain, never truly considering her exceptionally remarkable.
