Chapter 639

“What do you want?”

Kaiden’s tone was harsh and tinged with impatience.

Ellie thought to herself, Of course he was busy!

Carole immediately responded, “I’m sorry, Kaiden. I didn’t know you were busy! I’ll say this quickly. I’m actually joining the same program as your wife, and I just saw… I just saw a man entering the house where your wife is staying, and he hasn’t come out yet. Someone even delivered some men’s clothes there. So, I just… I just…”

Carole’s tone was frantic with worry, as if she had caught someone red-handed and didn’t know what to do. She continued, “I thought you should know about this, so…”

In Kaiden’s arms, Ellie listened silently. She thought, So, Carole came to tattle on me?

A flash of scorn crossed Ellie’s eyes. Then, suddenly, her mind was filled with a wicked plan.

Kaiden was about to hang up the call after hearing Carole’s nonsense, but the next second, Ellie’s slender arms wrapped around his neck tightly, not giving him a chance to end the call.

Then, her sweet voice came through. “Mr. Thorpe, you haven’t finished talking yet?”

Kaiden was speechless. He looked at the face of the woman who was clinging to him like an octopus.

Indeed, Kaiden was completely bewildered.

The tone and voice Ellie was using didn’t sound like her usual self at all.

While Kaiden was still in a daze, Ellie stuck out her tongue and swept it across his Adam’s apple very slowly. Her action was so sudden and provoking that Kaiden couldn’t help but let out a gasp, his eyes darkening with lust.

Ellie forced herself to sound coquettish and continued, “Mr. Thorpe, are you on the phone with another beauty? Could it be that I am not satisfying you?”

Her flirtatious words had a great impact on Carole, who heard everything from the other end.

“Kai… Kaiden, you… you…” Carole was truly flustered now, stuttering and unable to utter a complete sentence.

She doubted her own ears.

Yet, the woman’s voice on the other end of the phone was clear. Despite sounding so sweet, those shameless words echoed in Carole’s mind again and again, reminding her that there was a woman with Kaiden!

And it was not just any woman, but one with a special relationship!

She recalled that Kaiden’s breathing seemed to become unstable…

What was he doing?

No wonder Kaiden had no time to bother with the fact that Ellie might be having an affair with another man.

“If there’s nothing else, I’m hanging up.” Kaiden immediately ended the call.
