Chapter 608
The content was simple. It was meant to showcase the guest’s everyday life. Ellie shared the books she enjoys, where she gets her design inspiration from, and some of her daily routines.
Ellie portrayed herself as unremarkable, aiming to avoid drawing attention or sparking discussions unrelated to her work. She preferred to come across as dull.
“Miss Gordon, our audience is curious about R,” the host mentioned, overwhelmed by the fervent comments and feeling compelled to address the audience’s questions.
This variety show was broadcast live, and uniquely for this segment, a host relayed the online audience’s reactions to the guests.
Ellie glanced up, puzzled, and responded nonchalantly, “That account’s been deleted. Why should it matter to me?”
The host was at a loss for words, taken aback by her dismissive tone.
The online audience, exceeding seven million viewers, reacted.
“Is Ellie making fun of us?”
“Why does she seem so aloof? Yet, why do I find her confidence so appealing? Is something wrong with me?”
“We’re not here to learn how to be a top stylist, beauty! We’re eager to hear about your life as a composer!”
“OMG, OMG! Everyone! Check out the painting in the top left corner! Wasn’t that auctioned off last year for 98 million?”
“As soon as the live broadcast started, I noticed a cabinet full of luxury car keys next to the shoe rack… I thought my eyes were deceiving me.”
“Did anyone notice the fruits on the coffee table? Have any of you tried them? They look like those from the videos about the world’s most expensive fruits.”
“Why are there beautiful, rich women in the world who can both compose music and style fashion?”
“Is there room for a garbage man in the goddess’s home? Do you think I could make the cut?”
Meanwhile, Ellie was responding to the host’s questions, oblivious to the online chatter.
“Miss Gordon…” The host paused, briefly checked the live room comments, and nodded towards the artwork behind Ellie, remarking, “The viewers seem to find that painting on your wall quite appealing.”
Ellie blinked, realizing she had asked the servants to store away the antique items just yesterday but had completely forgotten about the collection of oil paintings from the last century!
“That’s a replica, pretty convincing, isn’t it?” she commented casually, her face calm and accompanied by a smile.
“It does look impressive,” the host replied, then added, “Ms. Gordon, people are admiring the jade cabbage on your cabinet. It’s quite pretty.”
Ellie’s eyes followed the host’s gaze to a jade cabbage standing about twenty centimeters tall on the right side of the yellow rosewood cabinet.
