Chapter 253
Chapter 253:
Why should Kaiden care about her receiving gifts when he was playing his own game with another woman?
Her rapport with Edwin was nothing more than standard social interaction, but was Kaiden’s relationship with Carole the same?
Staring at the ceiling, Ellie closed her eyes tight, unsure how to navigate this emotional storm.
She regretted advancing her relationship with Kaiden.
Suddenly, a knock echoed on the door of the cubicle.
“Occupied,” Ellie replied instinctively.
However, the knocking persisted, its rhythm forceful and insistent.
Through the small gap beneath the cubicle door, Ellie glimpsed trousers and men’s shoes. What in the world was going on p>
It was a man!
Why was a man in the ladies’ room?
Anxious, Ellie held her breath for a moment, cautiously rising to her feet. The knock came again, louder this time.
The Stephens family banquet shouldn’t pose any danger. Perhaps it was an emergency, and they needed to reach her.
With a defensive stance, Ellie slowly opened the door.
As soon as it cracked open, a forceful push came from the other side. A tall figure barged in, pinning Ellie against the door.
He kissed her passionately.
Wide-eyed, Ellie stared into the familiar eyes inches from hers—eyes dark and stormy, filled with tension.
Kaiden… Bursting into the ladies’ room?

When Kaiden’s hand brushed against her dress, reality hit her, and Ellie pushed him away.
“Kaiden… Mmm… Let go of me! Do you hear that? Let go of me!” she demanded, her voice laced with frustration.
With one hand, Kaiden secured her wrists above her head, effortlessly holding her in place. With his other hand, he was free to do as he pleased.
Ellie struggled, but it was futile.
“Kaiden, are you out of your mind? This is a bathroom. The Stephens’ house bathroom p>
“You can speak louder and draw Edwin here,” Kaiden remarked with a sly smile.
Rarely did he display such evident emotions, except when Ellie was around.
Aware that she was in a public restroom, Ellie wouldn’t dare make a commotion. If they did draw attention, the entire city would soon be aware that the adopted daughter of the Gordon family and Kaiden from the Thorpe family were engaging in questionable activities in the bathroom. Additionally, rumors would circulate about Kaiden’s supposedly disabled legs miraculously recovering.
