Chapter 202

Chapter 202:

Looking at Ellie, who was shivering, Susanna asked gently, “Ellie, are you okay? Your hands are frozen blue!” As she spoke, Susanna gave Ellie a cup of hot water.

“It’s okay. I’ll be fine,” Ellie replied as she took the cup of hot water. She felt so cold, and her head was aching.

Wearing a down jacket and holding a hot water bottle in her hand, Demi walked past Ellie and said as if nothing had happened, “Thank you, Ellie! You have to work harder as a team member p>

When Demi went far away, Susanna turned to Ellie and whispered in a soft, low voice, “Ellie, are you at odds with Demi? I have the feeling she is deliberately trying to make life unbearable for you here p>

“Yes, I am at odds with her,” Ellie replied calmly.

These three hours of torture in the freezing cold were Demi’s warning to Ellie of her coming revenge.

“A bitch. She’s not even remotely as beautiful as you, but she’s so sneaky!” Susanna muttered, clenching her fists in anger.

Hearing what Susanna said, Ellie realized that Susanna only judged people based on their looks.

When Ellie returned to her room, she quickly took a hot shower, then put on some warm clothes to keep herself warm. She lay in bed for a while. However, she felt increasingly dizzy and sneezed several times.

She seemed to have caught a cold.

Suddenly, her phone rang.

After checking the caller ID, Ellie answered the call. “Hello p>

“Hey, what’s wrong with you?” Kaiden asked with concern. He had immediately noticed that there was something wrong with her voice.

“I caught a cold,” Ellie replied. She’d just taken the cold medicine, and now she was very sleepy. She just wanted to end the call as soon as possible and go to sleep. “What’s up?” she asked in a sleepy voice.

– check it out!

Kaiden was silent for about two seconds. Then, he said in a cold and harsh tone, “Nothing. I dialed the wrong number p>

Why did she ask him that? Couldn’t he call her even if he had nothing specific to talk to her about?

She was his wife! As such, she should be glad to discuss with him every day!

Kaiden began to wonder if there was something wrong with him.

Perhaps he shouldn’t have called her.

He was still angry about yesterday, and now, his mood worsened.

Ellie nodded subconsciously. Then, realizing that Kaiden couldn’t see her nodding, she said in a low voice, “If there’s nothing else, I’ll go to bed now p>

She was very sleepy, and before Kaiden could say anything, he heard her even breathing on the phone.
