Chapter 543
Chapter 543:
Aphrodite was about to leave but found herself stuck.
Because Ellie had caught hold of her wrist.
“Why should you care how I use my husband’s money? Is it any of your business?” Ellie looked from Quincy to Aphrodite, wearing a teasing smile as she added, “At least I’m not the one needing a man who isn’t even my fiancé to do favors for me, which is more than can be said for you p>
“Ellie!” Aphrodite’s tone shot up, filled with rage.
Without thinking, Kaiden stepped in front of Ellie for protection. “Quincy, please control your partner p>
Quincy, cool as ever, answered, “Kaiden, you are one to talk, huh?” Kaiden just gave a casual shrug.
To everyone else, it looked like Kaiden was admitting that he was the one being controlled by his partner.
Were they interpreting it correctly?
Aphrodite shot back heatedly, “Let’s get one thing straight, Kaiden. If there’s any hitting to be done, it won’t be me going after Ellie. She’s only pretending to be weak around you p>
The tales of Ellie taking on ten guys by herself at the Rich Bar and even getting the better of Aphrodite before were legendary.
“So, you’re basically asking for trouble, aiming to get knocked down?” Ellie sneered.
“You! Ellie, watch your mouth p>
“Want to hear something more unpleasant?” Ellie’s look turned frosty, her stance indicating she was more than ready to throw punches, not just words.
“Miss Gordon, your order is ready.” A waiter came up, breaking the intense atmosphere.
Aphrodite let out a relieved breath.

Meanwhile, Kaiden casually reached for a black card to give to the waiter.
But Ellie stepped in first. She wrote a check for the amount and handed it over to the waiter.
“Here you go.” Then she passed the card back to Kaiden, saying, “I don’t mind when you buy me things. But when it’s my gifts for my friend, I insist on paying with my own money p>
“Hard to say whose money is really covering that check,” Aphrodite muttered under her breath.
Baylee moved silently, her heels making no noise at all. However, Baylee, dressed in her elegant gown, captured the spotlight, her presence undeniable amidst the ongoing drama.
Before she even arrived, her voice cut through, “Miss Watts, perhaps it’s time to broaden your knowledge. Ever wondered about the value of Ellie working as a personal stylist? She has ways to earn money beyond that p>
Kaiden picked up on the stress Baylee placed on “beyond that.” After all, owning the Rich bar and being the boss of a celebrated designer like Freddy, Ellie’s role as a stylist seemed to be less about making money and more about spending it.
