Chapter 516

Nina was going to take some photos of Penelope. Although she was not famous for her looks, her acting skills were top-notch, and she had helped many male actors rise to fame. Nina admired her for her humility and composure.
As the fashion show was wrapping up, Nina brought the photographer over to find Penelope.
Seeing Penelope, Angel let out a loud squeal, “Penelope! I can’t believe I’m seeing her in person!”
Nina, amused by Angel’s reaction, asked, “Why are you so excited?”
Angel replied, “Of course I’m excited! I’ve watched so many of her dramas. Is this real? I’m meeting my idol! I adore her!”
Penelope approached them and said, “Hello, I’m Penelope Zimmerman,” extending her hand to Angel.
Angel, feeling like she was dreaming, shook Penelope’s hand, “Am I dreaming? I’ve seen all your dramas. I know your story, how you came from a small town and fought your way through the entertainment industry. I’m your fan…”
As Angel spoke, her voice choked with emotion.
Penelope quickly comforted her, “I know, don’t cry. A girl’s tears are precious.”
She helped wipe away Angel’s tears, which made Angel realize she had not chosen the wrong person to admire. Penelope was approachable and kind, unlike many other celebrities.
Nina reminded her, “Angel, let’s get to work. We need to make sure she looks stunning in the photos.”
Wiping her tears, Angel said, “Alright, I promise to do a great job.”
They needed a location for the photoshoot, and since there were many celebrities present, they had to wait their turn. They had already reserved a spot.
When they reached the pre-arranged photoshoot location, Angel was shocked, “What? We don’t have our spot?”
“Sorry, it’s been booked by someone else,” the staff said.
Angel was upset, “What do you mean? We had this place reserved! How can you just give it to someone else? This is so unprofessional!”
This was their first time encountering such a situation, and it was infuriating.
The staff did not offer much explanation, “Sorry, you’ll have to leave.”
They had specifically chosen this spot because Penelope was in her historical gown, perfectly capturing the elegance of the Victorian era, and this location was the only one with a vintage, garden-like ambiance.
Most other celebrities preferred modern, fashionable locations, so they usually would not choose this location.
The timing, location, and atmosphere were perfect for Penelope’s shoot. She was the ideal fit for this setting, but they were told it was not allowed.
Nina had already planned for a snow-covered garden photo shoot.
“Should we find another place?” Penelope suggested.
Nina did not want to give up. She had already set everything up, and a change of plans would disrupt her work. She stepped forward to negotiate, “I see the place is empty. Can we use it for just half an hour?” “Sorry, no,” the staff refused.
Nina sensed they were being difficult on purpose, likely sabotaged by someone, “Could you tell me who booked it? I’ll pay double what they paid.”
The staff hesitated, “It’s not about the money.”
“Don’t bother, this place is mine,” a voice interrupted. Miranda appeared behind them.
Nina turned to see Miranda in a similar outfit to Penelope’s, accompanied by three or four high-end photographers. Nina remembered that Miranda was not wearing this earlier.
Miranda no longer pretended, her beautiful face carrying a hint of coldness. She seemed pleased with the current situation, “I’ve taken this spot, so you won’t be able to shoot here today.” Nina looked at her, puzzled by her actions, “Is your ear better now?”
Miranda sneered, “Thanks to you, it’s fine now.”
Nina shot back, “Not faking anymore?”
“Fake or not, at least some people fall for it,” Miranda retorted quickly. “Including this location today, someone will always pay for me.”
