Chapter 712

Chapter 712
Hearing her cry, Nash quickly let go.
Nina’s wrist was already ringed with a red mark. She looked at her hand in disbelief, wondering how Nash could suddenly be so forceful. She glared at him, her expression showing her anger and pain.
Nash looked at her wrist, his expression conflicted, mostly filled with guilt. He quickly apologized again, “I’m sorry.”
But his words felt hollow, as he had indeed hurt her accidentally. He hadn’t realized he had used so much force and become so agitated.
Nina was already furious about the situation with Miranda. Dealing with a third person interfering in their relationship was more than any woman could tolerate.
Now, Nash had even hurt her in his irrational state.
“Sorry doesn’t help. You still did it. I can’t stay here like this. I’m leaving,” she said, intending to leave.
After all, this wasn’t her house. Since she and Nash were still divorced, she couldn’t kick him out, so she had to leave herself.
She barely took a few steps before Nash called out to her in a calm voice, “You’re pregnant. It’s inconvenient for you to leave. You stay here and I’ll go.”
Nina stopped and turned to look at him.
Without raising his head, Nash walked past her without hesitation.
Nina watched him go, frowning deeply. She hadn’t expected him to leave without any explanation or attempt to comfort her.
If he really cared about her, wouldn’t he try to make amends?
Even if she didn’t believe him, he could have tried to explain until she did.
Even though he had almost hurt her, he could have begged for forgiveness.
Even if she said she was leaving, he should have tried to stop her and calm her down.
What did walking away mean? Did it confirm he couldn’t bear to be harsh with Miranda?
Nina had hoped he would stop and turn back to look at her, but he didn’t. He walked away without looking back.
Now, she was both angry and heartbroken. She felt that things shouldn’t be this way. Seeing the red mark on her wrist only deepened her hurt. Why did he have to treat her like this?
Tears welled up in her eyes, and she felt a lump of unresolved anger and sadness in her chest.
As Nash stepped outside, he realized something was wrong with him. He couldn’t control his emotions anymore. Even though he didn’t want to get angry at Nina, he couldn’t stop himself. Sooner or later, he would end up hurting her.
He needed to stay away from her to avoid causing harm to her and their child.
Wilfred had already told him that the poison in his system wouldn’t kill him but would cause significant disruptions to his life. For example, he might go mad.
Right now, he could still function like a normal person, but eventually, he might become a beast, hurting others and forgetting
everyone.
What would happen if he forgot Nina? The consequences were too terrible to imagine.
Nash fell silent, staring at his hands, knowing that one day they might hurt the person he cared about the most. That’s why he needed to leave, to prevent any further arguments or worse actions.
Nash clenched his fists tightly. “Let’s go.”
“Where do you want to go, Captain?” It was clear to the perceptive ones around him that Nash was deeply troubled.
Nash had many things to take care of while he was still sane. IIe had to make all the necessary arrangements.
He replied with his stern expression, “The usual place. And bring Miranda in again.”
James hesitated for a moment but then pursed his lips.
At that moment, Miranda was attending an event. Due to all the negative publicity, many endorsements had been canceled. She had quickly stepped up for damage control, issuing a statement.
The content declared the allegations false and defamatory, and she would pursue legal action, attaching a lawyer’s letter. This managed to restore some of her reputation.
