Chapter 623

Nash said, “She doesn’t need me anymore.”
“So, there’s a rift in their relationship? No wonder he came back soaked. Even the strongest bonds can be irreparably damaged once a crack appears,” Miranda thought to herself.
Miranda felt a spark of joy in her heart. She looked at Nash and said, “Nash, I will always need you. I will never abandon you. Believe me, I love you the most. If Nina truly loved you, she wouldn’t treat you this way.”
As she spoke, she leaned into Nash’s chest, her entire being filled with joy.

Upon learning about her poisoning, Nina went to the hospital for a check-up. She wanted to know how long she had left to live and whether she could survive until her baby was born. But the doctor told her there was nothing wrong with her body. Could the poison be undetectable by the hospital?
Nina’s mind was heavy with worry, facing numerous difficult decisions.
What if she died before the baby was born?
What if she died after the baby was born?
She had to ensure a future for her child.
She was very afraid of dying, but knowing she had been poisoned made her even more unwilling to accept it.
Dying did not seem so frightening if it meant she was fighting against her fate. She was most worried about her child being born without a mother.
She gently touched her belly, wrestling with the difficult decision of whether to terminate the pregnancy.
Would it be too cruel for the child to be born into a life of hardship?
Would the child grow up to resent her for bringing him into the world without being able to care for him?
Tears welled up in Nina’s eyes as she struggled with the decision. She had never felt so torn.
She prepared to enter the operating room. The cold, foreboding atmosphere of the place sent chills down her spine. Everything around her felt icy, devoid of warmth. Suddenly, she felt a movement in her belly. That tiny motion brought her to her senses. How could she consider ending this little life?
Fearful and overwhelmed, she fled the operating room. She sat on a chair outside, breathing heavily, her hands protectively over her belly.
“Baby, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry,” she apologized, tears streaming down her face. “Mommy loves you. I promise I will bring you into this world and ensure you have a happy life.” The baby seemed to calm inside her, and Nina felt a mixture of joy and sadness. It was the first time she felt the baby move, and it was both a happy and bittersweet moment.
She did not know if the baby was healthy. The poison in her body could affect the child. But she could not dwell on these worries. She had to work hard to secure their future. Nina threw herself into her work. Her belly grew bigger each day. The filming of “Glory” was halfway done.
Although Nina was an investor, she shared a deep connection with the project and Nelly. She put in a lot of effort daily, learning and contributing immensely.
Gradually, she got the hang of it.
Recently, Nelly injured her foot on set, tearing a ligament and had to stay in the hospital for several days. The production could not halt, nor could they wait for Nelly, so Nina had to step into her role temporarily. “Cut, take a break!” Nina called out.
Penelope had just finished a scene with the male lead.
The male lead, Ivan Torres, was a newcomer. Standing at 6’2″, he had acted in a few online drama series. He had a charming, sunny smile with dimples.
