Chapter 352

Nina was completely stunned. When did Nash have the leisure to watch a movie with her? They had been married for so long, and he had never bothered to have dinner with her alone or watch a movie together. These were things that couples typically did.
Seeing her silence, Nash asked again, “Why aren’t you saying anything? I’ve already had Quincy reserve a restaurant for us. After dinner, we can catch a movie before heading home.”
Nina asked suspiciously, “Why do you suddenly want to have dinner and watch a movie with me? Is it some important holiday?”
She maintained skepticism about anything that seemed overly unusual, especially between her and Nash. Recently, she had been pushing for a divorce and had been distant from him. Perhaps Nash just wanted to make amends, thinking she might not have such thoughts anymore.
He said, “I simply want to have dinner with you. Come along with me when the time comes.”
Finishing his coffee that Nina made, he sensed something was off. “Did you change brand?”
Nina had not had a chance to explain. “The brand you usually drink is out of stock. I’ve switched to a new one for now. When it’s available again, I’ll switch it back. Just bear with it for now.” “It’s okay.” Nash drank more than usual.
Nina had expected Nash to be unhappy if he did not get his preferred coffee and might even take it out on her. But he remained calm, seemingly accepting of the change in brand.
Nina’s gaze rested on Nash, noticing his improved temper and increased patience.
Why was he being more tolerant of her work lately?
Why did he specifically ask to have dinner with her alone today?
Was it because he met Miranda in the office today and felt guilty, wanting to make it up to her?
Nina could not understand. Many things were different from what she expected. If Nash really had feelings for her and Miranda, he should divorce her and give Miranda a proper relationship.
At this moment, Miranda had just left the company.
A car was driving by not far away.
“Stella, that’s Miranda! I actually saw her in person!” one of her friends exclaimed with excitement, sitting beside her in the car.
Stella’s relationship with Eve had become strained, so she wanted to hang out with other people. Besides, she had plenty of friends, not just Eve.
She was not really interested in celebrity gossip, so she asked casually, “A celebrity?”
“Don’t you know? Miranda is now a dark horse in the entertainment industry. Her first film role has attracted a lot of attention. She has a promising future!”
Seeing her friend seemed to admire this person, Stella asked a few more questions, “Is she really that impressive?”
“Many people online are saying she’s the rising star of this year, sure to become popular. With Nash backing her, she should be fine!”
Hearing this, Stella looked at her. “Nash is backing her?”
“The rumors about Miranda and Nash, haven’t you heard? It’s been circulating in our circle. Miranda is Nash’s unrequited love!”
“That’s impossible!” Stella immediately denied.
Seeing her reaction, her sister asked, “What’s wrong? Nash and Miranda were high school classmates. They were envied by everyone back then. I don’t know why they didn’t get married. Some say Nash is married, but his wife hasn’t appeared yet. I wonder if it’s Miranda. There are so many rumors, who knows what’s true.”
“How could it be? Miranda couldn’t possibly be Nash’s unrequited love. They were just classmates, they’re not in love!” Stella said firmly.
