Chapter 371

She had never seen such unreasonable parents before. They accused Nina of harming Stella without any evidence, and if something were to happen to Nina, her parents would have nowhere to turn to for justification.
The thought made Taylor feel even more bitter. Nina had raised her from scratch, and she believed in Nina’s kindness. She could not have done such a thing. As for Stella, she was cunning enough to be capable of anything. Taylor did not need evidence to believe it.
As for Stella being harmed and falling into the sea, that was just retribution. She deserved it!
“Do you even have the right to speak?” Mr. Jasper rebuked Taylor sharply, “The York Corporation has all sorts of people, and even a lowly employee dares to interrupt me!”
Nash’s gaze at Mr. Jasper was extremely sharp. He casually put his hands in his pockets to control his displeasure and sneered, “Mr. Jasper, you live abroad after all, where democracy and freedom are valued. What’s wrong with my employee expressing a few words of disagreement?”
It was the first time Taylor had seen Nash speak up for her, and she was instantly moved, almost crying.
She had thought she would have to stand up for Nina alone, not knowing if she could withstand these capitalists. If she really could not resist, she would seek help from the media and the internet. Nowadays, she did not believe that justice could not be sought for Nina!
She immediately ran to Nash’s side, complaining to him and saying tearfully, “Mr. York, you have to avenge Nina. It must be this woman who harmed Nina. She deliberately kept us busy to target Nina!” “You’re talking nonsense!” Mrs. Jasper said angrily, “I’ll shut your mouth!”
Mrs. Jasper was so angry she was about to go and hit Taylor, but Taylor was not afraid. She stared back defiantly, saying, “Come on, don’t think I’m afraid of you just because you’re rich. Being wealthy doesn’t make you superior. Just because you have money, does that mean you can slander others? If you can’t stand being slandered, does that mean others can?”
“You… you…” Mrs. Jasper was so furious she nearly fainted, luckily someone was there to support her. Mr. Jasper had someone attend to Mrs. Jasper. He would not rest until this matter was sorted out. He then said coldly, “Mr. York, are you going to shut up your employee? No sense of propriety, no respect for elders. Your father handing the company over to you is a disgrace to the York Corporation!”
Since Nash was not giving him any face and was not going to help them get justice, he did not feel like giving Nash any face either.
Facing Mr. Jasper’s sarcasm, Nash showed no emotion. His gaze was deep, and he replied calmly, “If you want respect, maybe you should earn it first?”
Mr. Jasper could not believe Nash’s audacity. “Are you trying to offend me? Do you know how much my daughter sacrificed to collaborate with you, how much profit she gave up? It was only after her repeated pleas that I agreed. I only have this one precious daughter, and for her sake, I’ve tolerated a lot. Now that she’s in trouble, if you won’t support her, fine, but insulting us too? Have you no conscience?”
“I think you need to understand something,” Nash stared at Mr. Jasper with cold eyes, his tone serious. “My company has nothing to do with William York. Don’t try to use him to pressure me. And if Nina’s disappearance is connected to your daughter, then she might end up behind bars!”
“You…” Mr. Jasper was furious but also felt the pressure from Nash.
Just as they were arguing, there came the sound of light footsteps, and someone called out, “Nash.”
