“Nash, where are you off to now? I can’t find you anywhere,” Hunter chuckled on the other end of the line.

“Of course, I know you’re not at home,” Hunter said, sensing his displeasure. He paused for a moment before continuing, “Is it your wife again who’s got you upset?”
Nash maintained his silence with a straight face.
Hunter leaned back in his seat, trying to ease the tension. “You’re usually able to handle anything. Why can’t you handle a woman?”
Nash furrowed his brows. “If there’s nothing else, I’ll hang up.”
“No!” Hunter didn’t want to see him in this gloomy state. “I know Nina has left. You act like you don’t care, but you’re like a lost soul without her.”
Nash’s voice turned cold. “Even if I care, she won’t appreciate it.”
Hunter found his words amusing and continued, “What kind of caring is that? Does she even know? Nash, you care more about Miranda than you do about Nina!”
Nash’s brows furrowed even tighter, his tone growing colder. “Hunter, watch your words. You know what kind of relationship I have with Miranda!”
“I do, but does Nina know?” Hunter pressed on. “Women, you know, when they don’t want to be with you anymore, it’s either because they don’t like you anymore, or alternatively, you haven’t given them a sense of security.”
“She doesn’t like me,” Nash’s first thought was that, his tone dripping with sarcasm. “She prefers a scumbag over me!”
“Why don’t you consider the second option?” Hunter suggested.
He believed it was the second option. When he thought about it, Nina had been by Nash’s side for seven years.
How many women stayed with someone for seven years?
If Nina wasn’t willing, why would she stay by his side all this time?
