“I was on set when they died, and I didn’t even get to see them one last time.” Penelope’s eyes reddened. “To be honest, my grandparents didn’t have a great relationship. Even at their old age, they often argued, and my grandfather would sometimes hit my grandmother. He wasn’t exactly settled in his old age. Despite growing up in such a family, I can’t hold any grudges. They were my only family, and I had no choice but to endure the arguments and the poverty.”
