Nina was puzzled. “I don’t remember. I only dream about it, about you and Wilfred. It feels familiar.”
“You’re lucky. You weren’t turned into a puppet like Wilfred and me,” Scarlett said with a sad smile.
Seeing that Scarlett had more to say, Nina decided to put aside her resentment, at least for now, to understand things she did not yet know. “Let’s go back and talk,” Nina said calmly.
