Scarlett did not say anything but followed Nina inside.

“Have a seat,” Nina said politely, noticing Scarlett standing by the door.
Scarlett nodded and walked over to the sofa. Nina placed a cup of freshly brewed tea on the table beside her.
Scarlett lifted the cup, feeling the warmth, and watched the clear tea with a few floating petals. It had been a long time since she had experienced such simple pleasures. Despite her love for beauty and caring for her appearance, her life had been rough and unsophisticated.
She took a sip, savoring the delicate flavor. “What kind of tea is this?”
“Jasmine tea,” Nina replied.
“It’s delicious,” Scarlett said. “The fragrance lingers.”
“If you like it, you can take some with you,” Nina offered generously. It was just a common tea, but she was happy to share.
Scarlett drank a few more sips before putting the cup down.
“The man you mentioned, Sawyer, was he the one by the bridge that day?” Nina asked. “Is he the one who poisoned me? Why use such a method to kill me?”
Scarlett looked intently at Nina. “You must have noticed that many things are unusual.”
Nina’s expression shifted slightly. “They want me alive because my life can threaten someone else?”
“Exactly,” Scarlett confirmed. “They’re using your life to control others.”
“Is the antidote within your organization?” Nina asked.
“The truly dangerous person isn’t here,” Scarlett said gravely. “Even Sawyer, who raised us, isn’t in the same league. The most dangerous person is Pharaoh. He created the poison, and no one but him knows about the antidote.” Nina felt a chill run down her spine. “How is there yet another person involved? I haven’t even processed everything you’ve already told me, and now there’s someone else?”
“What did you expect?” Scarlett replied. “Even I haven’t seen him. Many things I do because I have no choice. If I don’t obey, I’m the one who dies.”
Facing Nina, Scarlett felt a twinge of conflicting emotions. She had always thought she and Wilfred were bound together by their shared fate.
But now, meeting someone else with a similar past, stirred something in her. In the organization, she had been warned not to develop any feelings, not even for siblings, as they could turn on her at any moment.
“But I couldn’t follow that rule,” Scarlett continued. “So, I live on the fringes of the organization. They exploit me, and my death would mean nothing to anyone.”
“There were many people locked in that dark room, but you managed to escape,” Scarlett said, looking at Nina. “I really envy you. You get to live a normal life.”
Nina had no memory of those past events. She only remembered being kidnapped once. Had her memory really been altered?
“And the others?” Nina asked.
“They’re dead!” Scarlett said.
Her words hit Nina like a stone, weighing heavily on her heart. Nina’s hands shook slightly. “Were they all young girls?”
Scarlett answered indifferently, “Some were just a few years old and others were teenagers. Those who survived were exploited. The dead had their organs harvested and were left mutilated.”
