After speaking, the assistant began packing up Miranda’s things.
Tears streamed down Miranda’s face, but her expression remained cold. She desperately wanted to make a comeback, but it felt like she was sinking deeper into a hole she could not escape. She needed to think of a way to salvage her situation. She had fought hard to make a name for herself in the entertainment industry, aspiring to be someone admired and envied. She could not give up now.
The door was knocked on again.
The assistant, growing impatient, opened the door. “What’s the rush…”
To her surprise, it was Nash’s men.
The assistant’s eyes lit up with hope. “Miranda.”
Miranda, feeling like she was in an ice-cold cellar, turned and saw Nash’s men. Her eyes brightened, and she quickly wiped away her tears. “Is it Nash? Does Nash want to see me?” she asked eagerly.
This was her last lifeline. As long as Nash was willing to save her, she wouldn’t be doomed.
“Miss Miranda, come with us.”
“Okay, I knew Nash wouldn’t abandon me. He still cares about me. I’ll go see him right now!” Miranda had never given up hope.
As long as Nash showed any sign of caring for her, she would believe in him unconditionally. After all, he had never truly abandoned her.
She confidently followed them.
In the car, no one spoke. Miranda had many questions and smiled as she tried to engage them, but they didn’t respond.
It didn’t matter to her. As long as she could see Nash again, she was willing to do anything. That was her obsession.

They arrived at a remote location surrounded by mountains, giving Miranda a creepy feeling.
As soon as the car stopped, Miranda looked around nervously but was roughly pushed out. “Hey, be gentle! I’m Nash’s fiancée. Do you want to die?” Before she could finish, her hands were tied up.
“What are you doing?” Miranda struggled.

She was blindfolded and forcefully pushed into the depths of the forest.
Despite her fear, she trusted them because they were Nash’s men. She believed Nash had shown mercy by getting her out of jail and wouldn’t harm her. They walked for a long time. Miranda’s dress got caught on sharp branches, scraping her legs. She felt the pain but was still pushed forward.
Having never endured such hardships, Miranda felt chilled to the bone.
Eventually, they reached a flat area, but she was pushed down again.

How could they treat me like this? Punish them!” She viewed Nash as her only lifeline, just like when she first met him. He was her greatest support.

He looked down at his pants, which she was clutching, with disgust and kicked her away without hesitation.
