“You must know the area well. Do you know where they are based? Will you come with me? It could be dangerous, so think it through,” Nina said as she applied iodine to the boy’s hand and wrapped it with gauze. The boy looked at her with curiosity. “You’re going to find Pharaoh?”
“No, Pharaoh is looking for me,” Nina said calmly. Given that he was looking for her, taking the risk made sense.

“Watch out!” he shouted, pushing her to the ground. She saw the boy grab a snake with his bare hands and slam it against a tree. Red berries were scattered on the ground.
In no time, the snake was dead. The boy tossed it aside and picked up the red berries. “Eat some of these to hydrate. There’s a village ahead.”
“Thanks,” Nina said.
The scene of the boy catching the snake with his bare hands was deeply imprinted in Nina’s mind. She hadn’t expected him to possess such skills.
