Chapter 854

Nina frowned, and Nash’s expression wasn’t any better. His eyes radiated hostility, and his gaze toward Micah was as sharp as a blade.
Micah’s smile remained unaffected. “With war raging outside, you two are here making lifetime commitments? If you have the time, why not tell me where Wilfred is?”
At the mention of Wilfred, the smile vanished from Micah’s face, replaced by an icy, angry look.
Micah could present a gentle image, but he could also be ruthless, like now. He was determined to find Wilfred, to understand why Wilfred had given Nina that bracelet, and to uncover the truth behind certain events. From initial hope to eventual coldness, Micah’s shift was clear.
Nina recalled being knocked out by Mr. Joker not long ago. During that time, Micah must have completed his investigations. His sudden coldness towards her indicated that he had reached some conclusions.
Nina let out a long sigh, feeling a sense of relief but also confusion. If she wasn’t Ivy, why did Wilfred give her the bracelet and call her Ivy?
And what about the memories flickering in her mind?
Nina couldn’t understand, wondering if her memory had been affected by the drugs.
“I don’t know where Wilfred is,” Nina said, pressing her lips together. Even if she knew, she wouldn’t betray him. Wilfred had been a friend, trying to help her with the poison.
Micah turned his gaze to Nash. Though he didn’t speak, the cold and ruthless look in his eyes said it all. Nash smirked. “Do you think I’ll give in to you?”
With that, Nash pulled out the black handgun. It was the same gun Mr. Joker had given them for protection, now aimed at Micah.
But Micah remained unfazed, smiling lightly. “Need I remind you of your current situation?”
Even if Nash managed to take him hostage, escaping alone might be possible, but with an unarmed Nina?
Seeing Nash stay silent, Micah continued, “Is it too much to ask for Wilfred’s whereabouts?”
Nina had wanted to find Scarlett and Scott, and he had allowed it, even assigning Mr. Joker to protect her. Without Mr. Joker’s timely intervention, Nina would have been seriously hurt by Mrs. Quintana’s whip. Nina clutched Nash’s shirt, trying not to disrupt him as he held the gun. “Since Wilfred left Birkham, no one knows his whereabouts.”
Micah sneered, “Really? What about his contact information?”
Nina being here, coupled with the fact that Wilfred had entrusted her with the bracelet, meant she held significant importance.
Even if she was merely a pawn, she was a crucial one. If they could contact Wilfred and mention Nina’s situation, he would undoubtedly appear.
Nina retorted coldly, “Do you really think there’s any way to contact him in this situation?”
Since coming here, she had discarded her phone. And as for Nash, sneaking in with a phone would have been a death sentence.
Micah made a gesture, and a group of people immediately entered, surrounding Nina and Nash.
Micah sighed dramatically. “With your capabilities, Captain York, finding a way to contact him should be easy, right? You can take Scarlett and Scott away, but Nina must stay.”
