Her concern was for their safety, wanting them to return to Birkham. But they both chose to stay.
Scott nodded. “I understand, but I’m not afraid. If you think I’m too comfortable, I can become a soldier like Scarlett…”
Nina was taken aback and quickly stopped him. “Why would you join the army? Scarlett had some training, but you have none.”
She couldn’t imagine how to explain to his family if something happened to Scott.
Scott chuckled. “I can learn from Scarlett. Here, I feel at peace.”
Despite not remembering his past, Scott felt strongly about staying with Nina.
Nina sighed, about to say more when Scott cut her off with a smile. “I have something to do over there, we’ll talk later.”
