If Nina did not want to get married, then she wouldn’t. Regardless, Julia just wanted Nina to live a good life. If she ended up alone without children, then she could adopt a child. If she did not want children, that was fine too. Nina was deeply moved. They were not her biological parents, but they were the best parents in the world, having given her a home. During her lowest moments, they had held her hand, guiding her out of the darkness and into the light. With tears in her eyes but a smile on her face, Nina said, “Mom, Dad, I’ve made my decision. Nash died doing his job. He left things unfinished, and I want to continue his work in my own way. If I die over there, I’ll die serving my country and helping the poor. It would be a meaningful death.”
Nina had made up her mind. The night she returned, she submitted her application online. Because of her previous work experience, she had already received a response. She had three days to get everything in order before leaving for Salterra.
Zion said nothing, while Julia could not hold back her tears. Finally, Zion sighed, “When a child grows up, they have to spread their wings and fly. Nina, if this is what you’ve decided, then go and do it well. But please, call us whenever you can. Otherwise, your mom will worry and won’t be able to sleep.”

I know you have your beliefs and goals, but you are our only hope.” Nina felt as if her heart was being torn apart. Though she knew her biological father was the Pharaoh, she had no idea who her biological mother was. Neither Micah nor the Pharaoh had ever mentioned her mother, leading her to believe she had none.
Her adoptive parents had been so good to her, wanting her to stay. They were incomparable to the Pharaoh, who was consumed with experiments and violence.
Nina embraced them both. “I understand how you feel, and I appreciate it. But I really want to go…”
Seeing her determination, they knew there was nothing more to say.
Zion handed Julia a tissue and turned away to wipe his own tears. “Go set the table and let our daughter have a good meal.”
Nina felt a deep pain in her heart but held back her emotions.
Julia quickly set out a feast. Despite their reluctance, they understood and respected Nina’s decision. They not only returned the bank card Nina had given them but also handed her another one.
