Chapter 957

Chapter 957
“Alright.” Wilfred responded immediately, but Nina was not on board.
Just as she was about to object, Wilfred grabbed her arm.
“Nina, in this situation, even if you chase after them, it won’t do any good.
“Let Nash handle everything. Don’t worry, as long as I’m here, no matter what antidote is needed, I’ll make sure to get it for you,” Wilfred said firmly, pressing his lips together in determination. He was resolute, even if it meant becoming the “healer” once again.
Nina knew Wilfred would help, but her concern for Orion was overwhelming. A child of just five years old, yet he was enduring such intense suffering.
She wished she could take his pain upon herself. But she also understood that giving in to grief would not help. She had to push those feelings aside.
Meanwhile, Nash had taken Orion to his father. Dominic had anticipated Nash’s return, but he had not expected him to bring Orion along.
“You sent the child away before, so why are you bringing him back now? Do you think you can come and go as you please?” Dominic stood with his hands behind his back, a deep, mocking smirk playing on his lips.
Dominic had suspected that Nash had been so defiant back then because he had already sent Orion away.
Nash’s voice was cold and firm. “Enough with the games. Just give me the antidote. You have two other children if you’re looking for someone to take your place…”
Dominic had plenty of other candidates.
“I’ll decide who takes my place. I don’t need you to plan it for me. If you want the antidote from me, you’ll have to accept my terms…”
“Then this child goes with Nina.”
This time, Nash cut Dominic off. His expression was cold and resolute, leaving no room for negotiation.
Dominic’s smirk deepened. “Do you think you’re in a position to negotiate with me? You’re overestimating yourself.”
“Well, if you want both me and the child to die, you can refuse.” Nash’s words were delivered with a steely calm, indicating he was not bluffing.
Dominic burst into laughter. “You wouldn’t let this child die. The blood of Salterra belongs here, not to be taken away by some foreign woman.”
Especially not by a woman from another tribe, who might turn the child into one of them.
“I don’t want this to get any uglier,” Nash said, pulling out a gun.
He aimed it directly at Dominic’s head.
Dominic, having held power for years and weathered the turmoil in Salterra, had seen it all. Nash’s attempt to threaten him with a gun was naive at best.
Dominic grabbed Nash’s hand, and the two were immediately locked in a tense standoff, both physically and mentally. But Nash had anticipated this.
Many had witnessed their confrontation. Now that Nash was back in Salterra, he did not want to remain under his father’s thumb.
Moreover, Nash was not wearing his mask. During his time in Salterra, he had always kept his face concealed. No one, apart from Dominic, had seen his true appearance.
But now, as his true face was revealed, it was clear that many people recognized him from his time as a peacekeeper.
“He’s the military captain from Birkham, Nash York!”
“The Third Prince is actually Nash York!!”
