Chapter 985

If it weren’t for Nina’s warm and kind nature, she never would have given the bracelet to Wilfred. And he, in turn, would not have given it back to her later.
Without that bracelet, Micah would not have recognized her. If that had happened, Miranda would have continued to take her place, and the consequences would have been unimaginable. “That’s all in the past,” Nina said softly.
This was partly due to Nash’s advice, and she also thought of Orion. Other children had grandparents so why should Orion be the exception?
As parents, she and Nash had not been there for Orion the way they should have. Now that the family was finally coming together, why should Orion be left with any regrets?
Micah said firmly, “No, it’s not in the past. Father and I will always owe you, Nina. I want to throw a recognition ceremony for you.”
Micah’s idea was straightforward. While his close confidants knew Nina was Pharaoh’s daughter, not everyone in the Yaren Tribe was aware of her identity. He had already ordered everyone to treat her with respect, but he realized that wasn’t enough. Incidents like Freya’s disrespect toward Nina could still happen. So why not take this opportunity to officially establish Nina’s status?
That way, everyone in the Yaren Tribe would know who she was and would never dare to disrespect or harm her again.
Nina started to protest, “No…” but Micah cut her off decisively, “No, my sister needs to have this ceremony.”
Micah was determined, and from his expression, it was clear that no amount of persuasion would change his mind.
In the end, Nina had no choice but to agree, but she requested that the ceremony be held after Orion’s bone marrow transplant.
Micah readily agreed. When Pharaoh heard that Nina had finally acknowledged him as her father and had agreed to the recognition ceremony, he was overjoyed. Like an excited child, he carefully sought Micah’s approval.
“How about I handle this recognition ceremony?” Pharaoh suggested, eager to make it a grand and luxurious event.
Most importantly, he wanted to personally walk Nina to the center stage, introducing her to everyone in the Yaren Tribe as his daughter, his only and most cherished daughter.
“Of course,” Micah replied, “But Nina insists we wait until after Orion’s surgery. You need to make sure everything goes well with that.”
Pharaoh agreed without hesitation. When Nina had first brought Orion back, Pharaoh had realized that this child could be the turning point in his relationship with Nina.
He had not expected his intuition to be so accurate. His only daughter was finally ready to acknowledge him, and he could not be happier.
Orion’s surgery was scheduled for five days later. Even though Nina trusted Pharaoh’s skills and knew the surgery would go smoothly, she could not help but feel incredibly anxious.
Her heart raced, her mind was in turmoil, and her breathing grew heavy. It got so bad that she needed medication to calm down.
Nash was by her side the entire time. “I was thinking of bringing you into the operating room so you could witness Orion’s successful surgery firsthand. But now I see that’s not going to happen. The surgery hasn’t even started yet, and you’re already this nervous. If you were in the operating room, you’d probably be in tears at the sight,” Nash teased, his voice full of affection and concern.
Nina understood his point. He wanted her to be a part of every step of Orion’s journey to recovery, from the surgery to his eventual healing.
