Nash did not let any of it bother him. A cold, mocking smile flickered across his lips.
“Temporary kindness can’t erase past grievances.” With that remark, he did not even look back at her as he walked past her and headed upstairs. Sally’s face turned livid with anger.
If things continued this way, Nina would take over as the lady of the house.
Nina not only had the favor of Nash’s grandfather but also now had Nash’s support.
