“Is it true? Can we trust the news?” Upon hearing Michelle’s words, they still asked for confirmation.
“It’s true. I’m prepared to stay here all night. We’ve got the hospital surrounded from all sides. The moment Miranda appears, even if we only catch a glimpse of her, it’s still a win!” Michelle assured them. “Well then, we’ll all stay here. I refuse to believe they won’t come out!”
They had been waiting here for a whole day, closely following any news about Miranda. They could not go wrong by staying here.

Her interview with Nash did not happen, and her colleagues who were against her had been mocking her. She had to prove herself one way or another. Taking advantage of the distraction, she disguised herself as a nurse and slipped into the hospital.
Meanwhile, Nash was in Miranda’s ward.
As Nina and Zoe were walking over, they made eye contact with Nash. Their gazes alternated, and Nina was the first to look away, followed by Nash.
Zoe looked at Nash and said, “Why are you still here? Are you so concerned about Miranda? How do you think Nina feels?”
“I’m fine,” Nina replied quietly.
Zoe turned to Nina again, “How can you be fine? Seeing your husband worry about another woman, does it not bother you?”
Nina fell silent.
Nash’s gaze turned icy, and he spoke in a low voice, “I have business here.”
“What other business could you possibly have?” Zoe retorted sarcastically. “Even with all the commotion outside, I don’t see you this concerned. But Miranda being unconscious has got you all worked up.” Coincidentally, Nash had something to say too. “Stay at home for the next few days and don’t go out.”
“I know there’s a lot of commotion outside, with people calling me a witch and accusing me of hurting their precious Miranda. But I’m not afraid. I’ve done nothing wrong. Everything I’ve done is to expose her true face, and I have no regrets!” Zoe exclaimed.
At the sound of her voice, Nash furrowed his brows again. “Miranda’s status is different now. Your actions are only inviting trouble.”
“And whose hand was it that raised her status in the first place?” Zoe retorted angrily. “If it weren’t for you, she wouldn’t be where she is today. But now, she’s biting the hand that fed her. If anything happens to her, not only will they blame me, they’ll blame you for not taking action as her boss!”
“Miranda, Miranda, you’re awake!” Just then, the assistant cried out.
Their gazes shifted to the bed where Miranda lay.
Her head was wrapped in bandages, her face pale and haggard. She looked frail and weak, her eyes hollow as she hoarsely asked, “Where am I? What happened to me?”
Her eyes met Nash’s, and tears welled up once again. “Nash… you’re here too. I missed you so much… Am I dreaming? You’re actually here in front of me.”
“Miranda…” the assistant sobbed.
