She looked at the remaining scripts. “Just because these aren’t trending now doesn’t mean they’re not good. Plenty of shows become hits after they air.”
She then looked at Angel, “This could also significantly raise audience expectations.”
“You have a point,” Angel nodded seriously. “But who wouldn’t want a sure thing? The risk is too high. Penelope is relying on this next role to make a comeback.”
In the entertainment industry, one successful drama could be a make or break opportunity. Missing this chance could mean no more opportunities.
Nina said, “That’s why we need to choose carefully. This could be the dark horse we’re looking for!”

Nina carefully considered all the scripts and their summaries. “This one,” she said, pointing to a script. “Call Penelope and make sure she secures this role!”
Angel glanced at the script and raised her concerns, “This director is a young woman and not very well-known. Her drama… it’s quite avant garde, not following the typical style of domestic dramas. It’s darker, with the female lead not being an idol type. It’s more of a revenge story, with a weaker romantic subplot. Usually, viewers prefer emotional dramas.”
“This is a modern drama,” she continued. “Most of Penelope’s hits have been period dramas, but she should try new styles. The story is about a girl who grows up in a family that favors boys. She suffers long-term school bullying, fakes her death to escape, then makes a fierce comeback, punishing her bullies and becoming a top executive.”
Nina raised an eyebrow, a smile forming in her eyes. “I think this director has a unique vision. She’s writing and directing it herself. We need to try something ahead of its time and break away from the old conventions. Look at the script! It’s exciting, the
romantic subplot may be weak, but the strong female lead and the theme of female independence are powerful. What’s wrong with that?”
Angel, accustomed to the domestic drama formula, had her doubts, but knew Nina was right. “Alright, I’ll call Penelope right away.
