Are we not friends?” Penelope laughed and added, “By the way, I have some great news for you. Our drama is a hit!” Nina was pleasantly surprised. “Really?”
Penelope continued, “Yes, it’s been steadily gaining momentum and now has the highest ratings in history. When you have time, you should check it out. Also, ‘Demon Bone’ started strong but is now falling apart. Everyone’s criticizing it online, saying the plot is dragging and it looks like it’s going to have a bad ending. “That’s fantastic,” Nina said. “I expected as much.”
She had always had high hopes for their show. Even when the initial buzz was low, she believed it had potential.
She thought, even if the audience’s acceptance wasn’t high, at least breaking even would be a success and a valuable learning experience in the film industry. Their innovative approach had paid off.

Just then, Nash walked in. His previously stern expression softened, and a gentle warmth spread across his features. “Have you been waiting long?”
Nina stood up. “Not too long. Are you done?”
“Almost,” Nash replied. “Let’s go home.”
He reached out to take her hand, and Nina didn’t resist. “Alright.”
A car was already waiting at the door. Nash helped her in and then joined her, driving them to a nearby villa.
This was Nina’s first time at this villa. It wasn’t overly luxurious but had comprehensive security measures such as high walls and electric fences that not even a fly could get in.
Once inside, Nash immediately embraced her, burying his head in her hair. “I missed you so much.”
Held tightly in Nash’s embrace, listening to his gentle words, Nina felt her anger dissipate almost instantly. She had always seen Nash as someone lofty and unreachable, someone who would never lower himself, even for her. Even though they were married, his care had always seemed distant.
But now, there was no barrier between them, and this newfound closeness brought a sense of warmth and intimacy.
She ruffled his hair gently and whispered, “It’s all over now. Everything will get better.”
Even though her poison wasn’t cured yet, she held onto hope for the future.
Nash, holding her, found the strength to carry on. “Wilfred will have news soon. We’ll find a cure for your poison.”
“I believe in you,” Nina said, offering him her unwavering support.
Nash placed his warm hand on her growing belly. “How’s the baby? Has it been giving you any trouble?”
