The warden hesitated for a moment but then nodded. “We’ve done everything as instructed.”
“Good,” Nash said, continuing to the interrogation room.
Sawyer’s hands and feet were shackled with heavy chains to prevent any chance of escape. Despite being in prison, he did not show any signs of anxiety.
Instead, his face carried a relaxed smile. He ate and drank as he pleased, treating the prison like his home. His injuries were tended to by designated staff, so why wouldn’t he be content?
When Nash entered, Sawyer looked up. He was momentarily surprised, then let out a cold laugh. “Didn’t expect to see you here, Captain York. You must really value me, having so many people guard me. Am I the most wanted prisoner in your whole prison?” He had already started viewing this as a badge of honor.
“Shut up. You don’t speak unless Captain York asks you a question,” a guard snapped.
“Everyone out,” Nash ordered as he entered the room.
Once the room was clear, Nash turned off the recording device and stood before Sawyer, looking down at him with a cold expression. “I’m giving you a chance to redeem yourself.” “Oh?” Sawyer raised an eyebrow, intrigued.
Nash continued, “Why did you and Seth turn against each other? And tell me about Pharaoh. If your information is useful, I might consider giving you an opportunity.”
