Nash felt that being imprisoned was too easy for Miranda. He wanted to punish her.
“You’re not stupid,” Nash said mockingly, like a grim reaper delivering his final verdict. “Your life is at its end!”
“No, you can’t!” Miranda became frantic. “You can’t lock me up. It’s illegal! Nash, you’re harming yourself by doing this!”
She feared Nash might take drastic actions. If he wouldn’t let her go to prison, being locked up by him would surely be more painful. She did not want to be tortured. Prison would be preferable.
The more she thought about it, the more her heart raced. She wanted to escape.
She quickly got up and tried to run away.
Nash watched her retreating figure without making a move to stop her, knowing she couldn’t escape. A cruel smile formed on his lips, sending chills down one’s spine.
Miranda ran as fast as she could, not even looking around. She had no idea what the house looked like, only picking a direction and running blindly. She ran until she was out of breath, too scared to stop, fearing Nash would catch her. Sweating profusely, she glanced around and saw nothing but dense trees, like a maze, completely disorienting her. Tall, thick trees blocked out the sunlight. Ahead was an abyss that seemed bottomless. Where was she?

She tripped and fell to the ground, thorns piercing her palms and causing blood to flow. Covered in dirt and sweat, her face smudged, she had lost all the glamour of a star.
Her primary concern was no longer her appearance but how to escape this seemingly endless forest.
Crying in fear, the chilling darkness of the forest made her shiver. She looked up and saw a giant venomous snake slithering toward her, its tongue flicking menacingly.

She no longer dared to run. Instead, she thought about returning to the house. Only there could she find safety from these dangers.

She sat up abruptly, looking around. Seeing no one else in the room, she realized Nash had not come back. Checking the time, it was already 10 PM. Nash usually came home by this time, but tonight there was no sign of him. Nina anxiously checked her phone. Nash had not sent her any messages, not even a call. This made Nina feel even more lost.
The situation with Nash and Miranda had already left her feeling insecure. His lack of explanation, his sudden departure, and the complete absence of communication intensified her unease.
Her anger was a cry for concern. If Nash truly understood her, he would have reached out to her. But he hadn’t, leaving her in a state of lingering disappointment.
She struggled with this emotional turmoil, torn between wanting answers and preserving her pride. She knew she couldn’t continue like this.
Nina reminded herself that seeking clarity wasn’t a sign of weakness but a way to find peace. She decided to ask the security at the gate. “Has Nash come back? When will he return?”
