“Father, why do you ask?” Ivy asked cautiously, testing the waters. After all, such questions didn’t come out of nowhere.
“Today, I saw a woman who claimed to be close to your brother,” Pharaoh said softly.

Ivy’s nails dug into her palms. She was certain now that Nina couldn’t be allowed to simply endure torture. She needed to ensure that Nina vanished from this world entirely after suffering unimaginable torment. “Father, I’ve only been back a short while, and I don’t think my brother likes me very much. I don’t know much about his decisions or the people around him,” Ivy replied, keeping her head down.
Pharaoh didn’t press further. After a few seconds, he asked, “Have you mastered your shooting skills?”

After Pharaoh left, Ivy opened the clothes he had brought. She ignored the cake, not even taking a bite. The dress was white with small pink roses adorning the neckline.
Wearing something like this seemed out of place in a war zone. She did not like it at all, but it was a gift from Pharaoh, so she had no choice.
